Krugman, la crescita e l'energia

May be I'm wrong, but in your example, productivity seems decreasing, and I think this isn't a good news for growth. Always, when more efficient use of input arose, more of that input has been used.
Moreover I don't understand why on the earth we have to consume less energy, in which sense it is safer for the environment with 7 billion people. In my opinion the goal is working for better energy, not less energy.I think we have to pay for externalities, and fight the political struggle for hegemony of scientific and technological progress.
