krugman and wwii

the WWII experience just reinforce my idea that there is strong, evolutionary linked, demand for traditional goods, like food, weapon, houses or energy, but almost no real demand for most of the services linked with high modern and widespread education ( archeology, philosophy...)
internet, and the concept of free meal behind it , let me think about a possible failure  of a fiscal stimulus without a shift in consuming habits.

And just good politics can make this shift
